Holy cow this must be a record. In just a few hours I had 1167 impressions and ZERO CLICKS :cry: . LOL, can anybody top that? I think I'll go over to Google and change my password to MORON. I assume my Keywords weren't relative.
I was offering a dog obedience e-book that I know sells well. Most of my keywords were dog breeds like collie, schnauzer, etc. I had a few keywords like "dog problems", "pet problems", etc. I thought that if someone searched for a dog breed they may be interested in help with obedience. Let's see, where is that rock I can crawl under.

My first adwords campaign didn't go over well either. The first day I got an e-mail from Google telling me that THEY were removing some of MY keywords for poor performance. HUMPH! 
At any rate, I was able to narrow it down to a few that were producing hits, but few sales. When you pay for advertising, it stinks if there isn't much return. I blew about $30 all together for that campaign over the period of a month. During that campaign my sales did not increase over previous performance at all.
Don't feel bad! It happens.

I deleted my campaign and will begin finding better keywords. I am one stubborn person and I will persist until I have some level of success.
Your right, an equivalent offline ad would have cost hundreds of dollars and taken a long time to get results.
I came across a way to avoid the low performance $5 charge. Just do a google search that pulls up your ad and click on it a few times (5 clicks would be .5% for 1000 impressions). HOWEVER I'm sure Google would not like this and why not just suspend or cancel the darn thing if your not getting clicks? Good luck and keep trying!

Actually I believe that is against the TOS. Might not want to practice or recommend it.
Fraudulent clicks inflate the stats and prices for keywords and that affects all AdWords users.
