Pay Per Click - Has anyone tried ExactSeek

Postby amazingwebtrafficformula » Tue Aug 30, 2005 6:52 am

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has used exactseek. I am interest in it but before i join i wanted some unbiased feedback

http://www.exactseek.com/

They have added a twist to Pay Per Click Advertising. Basically its not Pay per click. Its Pay per keyword but it doesnt matter how many click you recieve you only pay a flat fee. In theory it sounds good but obviously depends on the keyword you pick. I think picking an extremely broad keyword would work best as you dont have to worry about the clicks you recieve since you dont pay per click.

Basically i just wanted to know if this search engine is popular enough for a good amount of traffic to be coming in which will result in more clicks for the advertiser. Obviously its not as popular as Google or Yahoo but since i dont know much about search engine popularity i just wanted to get a second opinion on this search engines popularity.

Thanks

I agree with the previous two posters. I tried it for a keyword as a test and have received minimal (maybe none) traffic.

NOT recommended.

I tried this last year and found it to be a waste of time. It didn't even increase the number of hits to my website. Being a newbie maybe I simply used the wrong words. But I would be reluctant to try it again.

So how does one determine which keywords will work?

What did you use that worked?

Oh I agree, but if 2 people are telling me it doesn't work & one is telling me the opposite & (no offense), this is her first post, I'm leary about wasting my money.

I went thru a circus with Verizon Super Pages b/c they aren't very sharp over there & in teh end I wasted money.

It was a good try, but not worth all the time I spent getting it setup, paying staff, wasting my time etc.

Thanks

Michelle :)

I have used ExactSeek

Postby robbyk333 » Sat Nov 04, 2006 8:21 pm

I have used ExactSeek I sale dish network products I did buy just one keyword Satellite TV in 3 months I made 3 sales which isnt alot of sales but when you get paid $70 each so $210 on a $12 investment to make the ad it was worth it. Yes not nearly as much traffic. But if your going to buy a keyword buy the ones that get search hundereds of thousands a times a month on overture. You will have alot less but still some traffic. Its not worth it to get these terms that dont get searched alot. But you can get alot of traffic this way. Dont go by there stats either it only tracks hits from the exactseek search engine your ad is over 200 more search engines. Be sure to use a url tracker to see how many clicks your really getting. But it is worth the investment if you have a product that sales and you make a good commision on it.

I've tried their 3 months of advertising for $12 on 200 search engines.

My recommendation - DON'T DO IT. it's a waste of money! I saw 0 traffic.

no wonder the price is so low...

did you use keywords that got alot of traffic?

I got quiet a few visitors with this service for the keyword satellite tv. I got 3 sales with this service. I dont think its the best but its great for keywords that get alot of traffic.

I have got 8 clicks after nearly 2 weeks, not bad.

At this rate 48 clicks for $12. Cheaper than google adwords as it is a popular home business keyword.

I'm new to this thing myself and have been drawn in by exactseek. I have not yet joined yet but I was interested in the 7 keywords for a year for $240. Not a bad loss. My site sells everything. Im sure there is about 2,000,000,000,001 sites like mine so even 5 clicks would exite me. I have not had one sale outside my family. I really want traffic bad. I feel like I built a gas station in the middle of a wilderness. The words that are available are shocking, "superstore, shop, cheap, discount, ect...." how could I go wrong!

I just might do it
