Have you noticed a decline in profits?

I'm curious, for those of you that promote your site or affiliate programs via Pay-per-Click, if you've noticed a decline in your profits over the last few months?

A general update would be great: How are things going? Any observations, questions, problems you're having?

My last two runs on Adwords have barely broken even, after 9+ months of very good profit from the same campaigns... I would love to know if anyone else has experienced similar results?

Same here. With the change of the adwords rule regarding affiliate programs I had to rework some campaigns were I did direct to merchant promotions.
I installed landing pages for the product/products but it is harder for the visitor now to go to the merchant (because of a little more reading and an additional click).
Anyway, I don't worry too much, but lookout for new opportunities ...

I am always on the lookout for the niche no one else has explored so far. But it is difficult and time consuming. This is true for adword campaigns as well as for other opportunities.
Currently I put most of my efforts into listbuilding for one of my sites but stay away from listbuilding ventures that are currently promoted on a very high level. I always have the impression that these listmachines are full o other internet marketers and they are not my main target group.

Sounds like a good plan. I am looking into more competitive markets outside of IM (as the competitors are not necessarily SEO's or savvy about online marketing - so it is easy to rank & do well).
