Adwords Account Temporarily Suspended

Postby Daniel Cassidy » Sun Jun 01, 2008 2:57 pm

Did you know that Adwords will suspend your account if they suspect that it has been compromised by a third party? I found this out the other day after contacting support when I had restarted some campaigns and put up a new one but received no impressions.

For some reason I was never notified about this, but I could still log into my account and there was no messages telling me why my ads were not running. They were active but not getting impressions.

They told me someone would look into this and then activate my account again once the problem was solved.

So if your are having problems getting a campaign going and can't seem to figure out why contact support and they will check your account to see if there is an issue with it.

Anybody else ever experience anything like this?

This is the first time I have heard of this happening but thanks for the heads up! Even if I did get a notification from Google, there's a good chance I might delete the email; I am getting spam from scammers posing to be Adwords! This is another area to be watchful.

Again, thanks for the info!

I didn't encounter this problem before.
But it is strange if your account has issue with their term and conditions, google will send a notification to you

This shouldn't deter someone from going ahead with an Adwords campaign. Adwords is still an excellent way to get targeted traffic.

Well now I have logged into my Adwords account today and it seems someone has hacked it. Luckily the $400 in clicks did not get charged to my credit card because someone hacked into my account, changed the billing information and edited one of my adgroups and ran up hundreds of dollars in clicks. I really wish Google has a telephone number. I emailed support and hopefully this will be resolved fast.

Have you tried calling 1-866-2-Google. That might help you get some support.
