I just started my first Google Adwords PPC campaign but it is going very slow because the keyword phrases I have chosen are very competitive.

I was going to explore more and play with some affiliate programs also.

I want to know which is the best way to do these type of campaigns. Do you use a landing page or use your direct affiliate link?

Add more keywords!

misspellings, typos, phrases, broad match & exact match versions of all of your keywords - variations of your current keyword list, too: dig deeper

I also use a direct affiliate link... unless the merchant has a pop-up on their landing page.

I setup a campaign for an affiliate program. I used my affiliate link. When I go to Google and search my keywords nothing is there and it has been a couple days.

Does this mean they have not approved the campaign. There is only one other listing on Google for this keyword so I know mine should be listed.

Your ads are automatically served...but if they disapprove it later, you get an email and explanation of why. If you go into that campaign it will tell you if it's running or not.

I am starting use more landing pages for my affiliate programs and testing it out a bit. But I just started on Friday...so it's still early to tell. I would say TEST it out and see what works best for you.
