"Optimized Results" being the keyphrase there, as the top 10 results are the only real competition ;) . Just because the search returns 50,000 links, doesnt mean you will be competing with all 50k for a top 10 position for that phrase.

Why not use both?

SEO provides more long-term effects. PPC on the other hand, works well as a stop-gap measure, something you use while waiting for the effects of search engine optimization to kick in.

Seo is better than ppc

Postby marketraisecorp » Fri Jun 01, 2007 12:37 am

There are some reasons why seo is considered to be better than ppc which i found on the internet(google):
1)It’s funner to buy traffic for cash rather than to lease it.
2)Bandwidth is cheap.
3)There’s no such thing as SEO Fraud if you get a good consultant.
4)You don’t have to deal with customer service.
5)Even non-targeted traffic can be siphoned off somewhere.
6)SEO’s aren’t quite clever enough to implement “smart pricing”.
7)You’re helping to improve search engine relevancy
8)Natural search arbitrage is usually deemed spam
9)No bid wars, and crappy sites don’t cost you.

I think getting free (SEO) traffic is great, but it can also be tricky to figure out how to get your site a good SEO ranking.

PPC advertising can be expensive, and a total waste of money if not done properly. However, I think it is the best way affiliate marketers can hope to ever be financially independent...but it will be a challenge, and won't happen over night.

My bet is with PPC. From our experience doing both, we have to say that PPC yielded favorable results than SEO. Just a thought. :)

I think pay per click (PPC) is the fastest way to promote your business or opportunity but it can also be one of the most expensive ways to advertise. PPC does bring targeted traffic and once your business is starting to earn some serious cash, I would recommend that you try some PPC advertising.

When your business is just starting and you are strapped for cash as most of us are. Free advertising is the best way to promote. SEO work on your website brings in natural search traffic but you also need lots of backlinks as well to your website. Search Engines rank your website on content, keywords, and a ton of good high ranking backlinks.

To Your Success,
Les

SEO and PPC

Postby earn » Fri May 09, 2008 3:59 am

There are 2 options which can help in making any online campaign success by seo and ppc.The best is to use both rather than one,PPC campaign in the very early stages drive traffic to your site and also helps to filter out what keyword search terms do not generate conversion.seo allows your site to be visible for long-tail searches which make up around 25% of all searches done on search engines
