Hi,
Believe it or not, I just placed my first ad with Google AdWords.
What is considered a fair to good Click Thru Ratio?
And, as long as I'm here... if I wanted to target professionals in the 35-50 year old age bracket to advertise to, does anyone have any suggested resources should I decide to advertise to this market in the future?

Thanks much for your help. Well, I've got a lot to learn, LOL!
I've been trying to match key words, etc.
I'll keep modifying. One thing I do like, though, is that since it is PPC, to experiement costs you time and effort, but no money -- unless money lost for not writing a winning ad, of course!

P.S. I should ask, I've heard different things relative to how much to pay per click. Would you say 50 to 80 cents is too much? I see some go for 5.00 a click. Ouch.

Thats a really great information and knowledge from Kirk.
But Kirk, do not you think, a ad can be very profitable even if we pay more than 20 cents. It will require a sharp target and tweaking ad text. Yes it would more demanding in term of intelligence.

Another way to look at PPC and what you are prepared to pay per click and more importantly is per actual action. Consider what the lifetime value of cutomer will be to you.
Sometimes it is worth taking a hit up front.
I mean, even it cost $1 to get a good quality client who I can market to for the next 24 months the n the campaign is successful.

I've also been trying Verizon SuperPages. Getting more clicks there but no sales to day. That's okay, though. I understand it's a learning curve.
