How to define fixed central column width Atahualpa Theme

Postby Janice Dugas » Tue May 19, 2009 5:59 pm

Downloaded recently the Atahualpa Wordpress Theme for a new blog.

Have a problem with the central column housed in between the side bars.

How can I have a fixed width for this central column so it does not expand itself when in full screen?

Installed on WP 2.7.1.

We can view here the problem => www.scotiana.com/about/

Merci for your guiding lights !

Looking really quick it looks like you fixed it (or I just didn't make my window wide enough to see it expand LOL) If you're still stuck give us a shout.

Hi LMM, Hi Loretta,

I meant to come back and say I had figured it out but forgot... Sorry about that.

In the Theme Layout Options, there was a feature that we could check or uncheck toggling between a "fixed" or "floating" width.

I changed it to " fixed " and defined it to be 990 pixels wide.

Ouf...looks much better :-)

Thanks for following up !

Take care.

Oh good, glad to hear you worked it out! Don't worry about not coming back and checking - I just didn't want you to be left hanging! :)

Janice, I really like how that theme looks on your blog, very coordinated. Great topic too!

Anything Scottish is lovely!

(yes, I'm Scotch Irish - Currie is my maiden name, I believe some of our family lived around Edinburgh in the 19th century before coming to America.)

Best for now,
Mary

Hi Mary,

Nice to hear from you. :-) Thank you so much for your kind words on our new all Scottish blog . As we are 3 contributors to this blog, it makes it fun to do. I transmitted your message to my two dear friends in Bordeaux, France, and it made their day too. Do not hesitate to post a comment on the blog when you drop by.

We have "LOTS" of idea for content !! ;-)

Happy to know that you have scottish roots ! wow...
I will keep an eye on the Currie Clan in my scottish readings.

For me, it is my grandmother ( on my father side) that was scottish. Elizabeth Mitchelson.
I found her father in the records but now looking to get more information on our genealogy.

Last time in Scotland (2007) I never missed doing a cemetary to find some Mitchelsons. But that is another story all together. ;-)

Until next take care et Bon Courage !

Merci

Janice
