wow. nice. there is a link cloaker plugin in? I must go download that. Thank you. I like my smart youtube plugin and my google analytics so far. I haven't really added any others yet. Guess I should go see what good ones they have.

Hi,

My top 5 Wordpress plugins are:

1) All in One SEO Pack--simple SEO for your blog

2) Sociable--automatically add links on your posts, pages and RSS feed
to your favorite social bookmarking sites

3) Subscribe Remind--gives your readers a little reminder to subscribe
to your blog’s feed at the end of each post

4) What Would Seth Godin Do?--displays a custom welcome message to new visitors asking them to subscribe and another to return visitors

5) CommentLuv--shows a link to the last post from the commenter's blog
in their comment

Some of my favs have already been named, so I'll come up with new ones:

Articles - for featuring top posts or any posts you choose on a separate page for easy finding

Audio Player - great audio player plugin

Comment Redirect - redirects all first time commenters to a special thank you page

yeah!, the most I have running on 1 is 102 and 32 de-actived till I reprogram them.

Pretty much you can do anything you want with wordpress, there is always a plugin that will handle it, just most of the time they need some tweaking. cause either they break the code or take over operations which slow down your site.

I haven't seen the Odiogo plugin mentioned yet, and I'm definitely loving that one. http://www.odiogo.com/

Does anyone know of an RSS plugin. The WP template I chose doesn't have one.

Thanks

rss plugin, what type.

A: To Read An RSS Feed and Display it on your Blog
B: A RSS Feed to Post
C: Generate RSS feeds for your blog (more)

there are tons of rss plugins.

hmm, the WP template you chose, doesn't have one. hmm, odd. not sure what you mean by that. You mean, when you go to your site there's no easy RSS icon or button to get your feed or that your WP template doesn't generate a rss feed.

I hope this aint too confusing!

WordPress itself has RSS builtin - http://yoursite.com/feed is the default location for the RSS feed.

So I assume you mean there is no graphic or link in your theme to this default feed location. You can insert one into a text widget. Find an RSS icon you like, upload the graphic to your site, paste the html code for the image into a text widget, linking it to your RSS feed.

Here's one link to some free icons, some are RSS feed icons:

Let me know if you need help with the exact coding you need to insert the image into a text widget for your sidebar.

Love wordpress, love plugins, love your suggestions. Thank you. Now to use them correctly and then to pass them on to others as they work well.

A couple things I've come across:

cool tool: http://www.apture.com/
wp-spamfree
twitter-friendly links
flickr gallery
connections
visitor like/dislike post rating

Thanks again for the great resources here and on other threads about wp, guys and gals.

best,
Mary

I want to submit my RSS link to Feedage.com but I don't have a link to my RSS feed. My WP template did not come equipped with an RSS feed. Does this mean I need a plugin? The topic of RSS feeds confuses me and yes so did what you said Chris LOL.
