Has YOUR WordPress Blog Been Hacked?

Dean Hunt runs a very popular blog at DeanHunt.com and his site was recently hacked. It wasn’t an obvious hack but he only noticed when he realized that his PR (Google page rank) went straight to 0. He’s usually in the 4-5 range. Evidently the hacker managed to exploit WP code to add hundreds of “outgoing” cloaked pharmacy pill links and such.
AND obviously lnking to known “bad neighborhoods” is a no-no to Google. BUT …

So … WHY should you care?
Links to bad neighborhoods will hurt your rankings. NO doubt about that. YOUR site can be banned and your AdSense account can be closed down.
Paul of SeoIdiot.co.uk, who was working on this with Dean, wrote a little tool to show people what their Google cache thinks are links out from your page, you can find this free tool at :
