pages sectioin questions on WP

If I wanted to set up a resource page section in page section then once visitors click on resource page link to resource page once they get there then on that page I set up lets say 5 different resource page sections vs just listing them on home page under the resource link as sub pages

example:

* Lets say they click business loans from home page it takes them to another page and there they find 4 more links to different pages instead of setting them right on home page under business loan category and listing them as subpages under business loans on the home page

I noticed when I tried to do this i saw php on the url on top and did not quite know if I could do this with out having some technical problems of some sort
