Would you pay for this?

I purchased a customized theme which has a time limit for upgrading purposes. The time limit has been reached. My question is would you pay to renew?

Normally with this Theme if there is a WP upgrade you wait till your notified and then through a auto upgrade both the theme and wordpress are upgraded at the same time. If you try to upgrade before being notified you ran the very real risk of the WP upgrade breaking something.

Please keep in mind that most people don't own the hosting company and continue to pay for it as long as they use it. But that measure I have increased the cost of doing business by 15 a month payable in a lump sum, by continuing to use the customized theme. Also if you don't renew the version of Wordpress can become seriously outdated due to the two being tied together.

My impression is that the upgrade wasn't enforced till now. It seemed to be like what Netscape way back was doing which was we'll take your money if you will give it to us and if not just go get a another download.
