I have actually had success with both on my blog.

The newsletter subscription is in the upper right...and the Feedburner email is below that.

Now, I also have a link to subscribe to my RSS feed in each post as well.

I have had more RSS subscribers than newsletter sign ups as well.

Hi Tamara,

I use Aweber to manage my mailing lists, and they also have a feature called Blog Broadcaster - so visitors can sign up for email updates from my blog. You can also broadcast an email directly to that same list if you want. If you'd like to check out Aweber, our link is: http://sswt.aweber.com

The reason I use them exclusively is because I OWN the email lists. If you set up a list or notification service anywhere else, be sure to find out if you own the list you are building. Whether you can make backups of that list, move that list, email that list directly, customize the opt-in and follow-up process, etc.

I really think they could improve if they would add a wizard to their sign up boxes. I don't think we should have to struggle with that.

I recently bought Kidinos optin sign ups but I can't get them right and just wish that Aweber would have an an option for this, as they do for the newsletter (but who needs that?)

Their sign up box is so basic. You even have to edit to get the form small enough to fit in a sidebar .

I recently signed up for AWeber and find it exceptional. I also use FeedBlitz at http://www.feedblitz.com

I have, twice and so have others. They replied that they would be looking into it but had lots of other things keeping them busy - or words to that effect. I sent them to your site Lynn, to see one in action, and also to kidino's site.

Maybe if we all wrote to them asking for this they might put it at the top of their list.
