Question for you. I am looking at starting my own blog about marketing and business.

My question for you is.....

When you write your posts, are you thinking about SEO or do you just write?

Are you choosing keywords or do you just say "hey this is a cool headline"
and run with it?

For me...it is a two - way focus as well...but the tie-breaker is towards readability and content.

The keywords usually will follow by themselves once you're in the groove.

This week on my blog, the post that got the most comments and interaction from my readers was titled:



Obviously, not a keyword-rich title.

Other posts in my blog this week were specifically titled with keywords to attract new traffic from the search engines - but also on target for content my regular readers would enjoy, including:

-Free Web Site Content… That Pays!
-How To Create A Landing Page
-Watch Movies Online, Free Through Netflix

Etc.

If you do a good mix, you'll attract search engine traffic and comments and RSS subscribers. And you want all three

This is True Dave; SEO will come over time depending if you are relying on backlinks, meta tags, etc. Mixing it up is a GREAT idea, keeping readers on their toes and anticipating future articles. Try to post to your blog daily it you can and make sure to ping each post. The key is consistency and persistence.
