Aweber vs. Getresponse

Postby globalbizz » Thu Apr 27, 2006 3:36 am

Is anybody using these autoresponders and which one do you think is better.

Alternatively is there a better autoresponder out there?

I've had a few "gurus" recommend 1 shopping cart but it's very expensive compared to aweber or getresponse

Love to hear your views

Thanks

Hey Greg,

I use to use GetResponse but never tried Aweber - never had to. I switched over to UMC (Ultimate Marketing Center) which gives you access to a hosting account, affiliate service, autoresponder service and ad tracking as well.

Is that expensive one QuickPayPro? I tried using tha for a while as well, had too many problems with it.

GetResponse, from my past experience, is a really good autoresponder with all the horns and whistles, but I really don't see it to be more valuable or even more useful than the UMC. I never had a problem with the autoresponder and I have enough options to do all kinds of things with it as with any other autoresponder services charging $20/month.

There are a couple of great threads here too:

I really like Aweber - and everyone I have set up there loves it as well. I wish I could reply in more detail, but I am heading out in a few minutes. Take a look at the two threads above, and I'll check back in here later today to see if you have any thoughts/questions to add to that ;)

I personally use Getresponse. This is mainly for the powerleads campaigns though. I run an advertising co-op and we purchade anywhere between 12,000 to 14,000 leads per month.

I am looking at trialling aweber for my opt in lists in the future.

I haven't used GetResponse, but Aweber works really well. It takes a while to completely learn the interface, but I like it.

Aweber gets my vote for sure. One of my most highly recommended online tools.
