Please help me choose - Aweber or UMC?

Postby armaan » Tue Sep 18, 2007 9:32 am

Hi friends,

Need your guidance in taking a decision.

I am thinking of switching over to UMC (ultimate marketing center by kaviraj kodai) for my hosting and email marketing needs. Presently my hosting service has proved to be a wrong decision I took when I knew little about the importance of right web host.

However, I am facing a trouble deciding between UMC and aweber that everybody seems to be promoting and actually using. In fact all the professional newsletters I receive are sent using aweber- so almost the entire industry is using them.

Now UMC fills all my needs in a single, concrete price where as aweber only gives me email marketing solution at the same price. Of course, as a beginner, I am careful with my funds, but not on the price of compromising anything.

What do you people suggest? Has anyone tried UMC before?

If I go for aweber anyway - which host do you recommend?

Thanks

Regards
armaan

I dont have any personal experience with UMC, but I do highly recommend Aweber. There's a reason that they are the industry leader in Email Marketing ;)

The one thing you have to worry about most with hosting/email combined is the blacklisting issues and delivery rates. I had this problem with a host prior to switching to Aweber, and found that the cost of Aweber was WELL worth making the switch.

As for hosting, I use and recommend HostGator, and I have a coupon code here that you can use for your first month free: http://www.clicknewz.com/995/hostgator- ... r-a-penny/

I'd recommend Aweber - all the way. I tried UMC out for a project me and a friend were working on, but some of the tests that we did were not successful, so I'd recommend that you just stick with Aweber.
