How much to charge for advertising?

Hi all!
I have an idea of a site, but I need information how much people charge for placing advertising on their web sites and mail lists. I think it depends on traffic you get and how many people in your list, but still, can someone give me an idea what I can get or ask for.
Another question HOW to find advertisers?

It all depends on the going rate, how responsive your list is, how much people will pay for ads, etc...

I ran into a website one time that was asking something like $9 per 1,000 impressions. You could always start off really cheap, and then raise your prices as you get feedback.

If you want to place advertisements on site, it will cost according to the page views the site gets. If the site is pretty small, they would charge about $7-$12 per thousand views. If it is a big site or blog like engadget.com and techcrunch.com, you will be asked nearly $3 per 1000 impressions. But advertising in these blogs costs a lot. They ask for nearly $10000 to $15000.
