On the road August 21-25 2008

Postby Lynn Terry » Wed Aug 20, 2008 1:31 pm

I'm heading to Atlanta tomorrow (Thurs Aug 21st) and will be gone through the weekend - back to work on Monday Aug 25th. I am attending the StomperNet Live6 conference in Atlanta. For details on that see:

I'll be "tweeting" all weekend, and checking in here at the forum, but no access to email (what a nice break! ha). If you would like to keep up with me throughout the event, be sure to follow me on Twitter:

If you're in the Atlanta area this weekend, I hope to see you there!

BE thankful you did not have to come to florida Lynn it is beastly here right now in Jacksonville, this whole state is getting majorly hammered by Fay.

I have been through some awful hurricanes and not had this much rain.

Hope you are having a great time and meeting a lot of great people. Let us all know how it went.

Thank you Karyn. I was very lucky my travel plans did not put me in Fay's path. The rain was just starting in Atlanta when I left, and I drove right out of it - which was nice. Hope you guys fared the storm. Let me know how you're doing ;)

The trip was very productive! I have photos posted here:

Other than getting extremely wet and dodging a few tornadoes we fared out pretty well. Water in the parking lot of our complex was up to my waist and I am 5'7" tall. Needless to say it was quite interesting getting in and out of the complex and the grass around here looks like heckola from all the cars tearing it up to get in and out.

Glad to hear it passed with no more damage than that...

Yeah and now we have another one brewing out there and there is also Gustav out there right now that is supposed to hit cat 3 status and hit new orleans but once they get in that gulf waters they could go about anywhere. When the Atlantic fires up it does a good job of it let me tell you.
