I find building a relationship with people is key to making it in MLM/network marketing.
You have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone.
Tony and Chuck,great posts :D

But I know an awful lot of people aren't as experienced and that is something that given time and effort will come.
I still do a lot of free advertising for the simple reason that it works for me.
Forums have been my thing.
1.I love taking part in interesting, thought provoking topics.
2.I like to meet and converse with people-it comes naturally to me.

Craiglist gets good results, also usafreeads and inetgiant if that is any help to you.

I wish you the best of luck in your online ventures :)

Email marketing using Yahoo Groups is free and does not take much time. Depending on how many groups you want to join, it just need some initial setup time to join the groups. You might take 2-4 hours to join 100 Yahoo groups, but after that, it's plain sailing. Just login to your Yahoo email and blast your ads to hundreds of thousands of members daily and it only takes you a minute or two. Make sure you join relevent Yahoo groups and choose only big groups of say over 3,000 members so that with just 100 groups, you can have total memberships of 500,000 - over 1 million.

I know some heavyhitters use Yahoo groups as I see their ads regularly, eg people like James Dunn, Brett Gurney, etc, so it must be effective else they would not have used it for years. Anyway, my experience with Yahoo groups is also pretty good.
