In regard to original content, which is best?

I'm curious about your opinions concerning your own original content. Do you feel it's best to post on your own website / blog alone? Or to submit to article directories and the like? What's your favorite and why?

If you really want your name as an author and your credibility to get known, you would also submit your articles to the directories and article posting mediums.

Though it is great to have your own content on your blog or site, if your goal is to get your name out there, you have to do more to make that happen.

I usually post to both one or two directories as well as my blog and sometimes notes on Facebook as well. It gives me the maximum exposure without too much duplication.

I think you should post the content on your site first - great for search engine rankings and page rank - then after a few weeks get them out there to as many article directories as you can find.

For SEO reasons, I'd keep the article within my site or blog. Perhaps I would just submit teaser articles to some directories.

I would suggest doing a little of both. Have original content on your site. Then create additional articles to submit to the directories with a link back to your site in your author resource box.
