Default Font Size For Reports

Postby MommyEnterprises » Sun Jun 22, 2008 6:41 pm

I am creating my first report that I am going to sell. I have made free ebooks and reports, just nothing that had a price tag.

Is there a default font size I should be using?

Hi, Stefani.

Sorry it took so long to respond.

I don't know that there is a default size. For traditional publishers it's Times New Roman 12pt. But a lot depends on your audience. For example, if you're writing for younger people, 12pt should be fine. If you're writing for Baby Boomers, 14pt or even 16pt is appreciated.

Just don't let the font size change the length of the report. You don't want it to look like you've used a big font to make more pages. The same goes for margins. They should be between 1 and 1.5 inches, so that reading doesn't require head movement to take in a whole line.

Make sense?

P.S. - Did you already release those reports? If so let me know.
