Article Submissions & Duplicate Content Issue

I have read differing opinions about the uniqueness of the articles you submit to directories. I have heard some people say it is OK to submit articles you have used on your website or blog to article directores and other say all content should be different. What do you think?

Hi Marj,

It is ok to submit articles you have on your site to article directories, if you wrote the articles or you had someone write the articles for you and you have the rights to the articles.

There are a number of differing views circulating about the benefits (or otherwise) of using article directories.

Given the SE drive toward content, content, content. Any use of shared articles may have a detrimental impact on your SE rankings.

No dont use the same articles on your site to submit to the search engines, your site will be banned for duplicate content

My opinion is that it's always best to make the articles on your website as unique as possible. It should be something that people can't find or read anywhere else. This way what your site offers is different from other sites.
