Our New Auction Site with NO tricks or silly Gimmicks

Hi everyone,
we are 3 stay at home moms who were all sellers on Ebay, well Since Ebay raised there fee's our profits went right out the window!
So we put our heads together and decided to open our own auction site. after alot of hard work it's up and running and doing well. http://www.thehighbidder.com is our site.

when we were deciding on how to operate it we came up with this. No Listing or Final value fee's, to give new sellers $20 in instant credit to be used for auction enhancements like attention grabbers ect... if they choose to use them. and a free online store. are we getting rich? nope not even close, but thats ok we all have to start somewhere.

We browsed throuh hundreds of wham sites and to be honest so many are just ways for them to get your money, how many times have you seen this "earn $200 a day stuffing envelopes" are they kidding??? or having to spend money on some "e-book" that promises you the world.

If your a seller on Ebay or want to try selling we invite everyone to visit us, we made it as simple as we could for first timers, and if you have a problem just let us know and we will walk you through it to start selling your items. you dont need alot of stock and anything you have can be sold. Just like the old saying...one mans junk is another mans treasure!

Congratulations on getting thehighbidder up and running! It looks like it was a lot of work, and the site looks very nice.

I have been selling on eBay for over 5 years, and have always been skeptical of spending the time needed to sell on other auction sites. Are you familiar with the whole Wagglepop saga? (Read here - http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m02/i23/s01 ) How is your site different than the other auction sites out there? Will you promote to a particular niche?

And a question for everyone reading this post - have you had success selling on lesser-known, niche auction sites? Which ones have worked well for you?

Hey congratulations on your auction site, I'll be sure to check it out. But honestly, I haven't had much luck selling on any other sites but eBay. I've tried other smaller sites, but unfortunately there's no buyers. I use the smaller niche auction sites for buying to get a lower price. Although, I do always try smaller auction sites to give them a fair try.
