Two Questions concerning FREE Classified Ads/FTP Download

How much space do you have? You should be able to upload the file via FTP and then give your subscribers/visitors a direct link to that file so that they can download it. This generally works with any host (provided you have enough space & bandwidth with your account).

For example, I uploaded this PDF file to my account, in a folder named "free", and so this is the download URL:

http://www.selfstartersweeklytips.com/f ... report.pdf

Does that help? Or are you looking for something different?


As for classifieds... I've never had very much luck with them, but I would be interested to read the details they gave you on that. There is ONE site that I'll post ads, but it's a very small local classifieds site that is promoted heavily offline via the radio around here...

Anyone else?

Thanks for the reply. Since I use SiteBuildIt, what you suggested is not available yet. I will have to check to see when this functionality will be available.

So, can someone suggest an alternative?

You can always sign up fro a free hosting account someplace that offers you FTP access. First you might check with your ISP. They usually offer free space. You could upload the file there and then just provide a link to it.
