the number of pages a website has is not that relevant anymore when considering the size of the site.
most hosting plans offer you gigabytes of space and webpages just do not take up that much space.
you can put thousands of web pages in 1 gig of space.
what takes up space is things like images, sound files, videos, etc.
also, the hosting limitation that you will need to worry about is database size.
any cms, or forum, or other type of script is usually going to run from a database.
many hosts offer you gigs of space and bandwidth and only a few megabytes of database space.
so, the bottom line is that it all depends on what you are going to use your site for, what are you going to store on that site, etc.
and, as has been mentioned, you can always upgrade if and when it becomes necessary.
hostgator can handle anything that you may need now or in the future.
