What Creative Project Are You Still Putting Off?

Hi,

My name is Lael Johnson. I coach women in basic writing skills and expanding their creativity. I help them work through blocks, such as procrastination, lack of confidence, lack of resources and lack of general business resources and life skills that can interfere with expanding and developing their creativity.

If you have a creative project that you have been putting off for longer than a day, (I have at least one!), please feel free to post about it and let's see what we can do to help you move one step forward toward completing your project.

Hi Alexc,

I like the idea of your storytelling. I love having stories read to me, so your skill is quite intriguing.

Have you ever tried writing your stories in smaller chunks over time, so that they could eventually be developed into chapters? Try writing one short story per scene?

It also sounds like your writing might be better suited possibly for the comic/cartoon or screenplay genre.

Another possibility might be flash fiction, stories told in very short form.

Do any of these genres interest you?

What type of roleplaying games do you play?

What about trying to write one paragraph, that contains a beginning, middle and end of a specific storyline from one of your games.

Just see if you can recall a scene that you have just witnessed during a game.

This would give you good practice in recalling what you just participated in.

There are certainly many different ways to 'repurpose' content. As there are many ways to find writing inspiration.
