cpanel / index question

Postby goldUFO » Wed Mar 26, 2008 10:21 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have a few Adsense sites up and running and the cpanel account that hosts them is under a domain name I'll call "www(dot)discombobulated(dot)com" for explanatory purposes.

"www(dot)discombobulated(dot)com" doesn't have a site associated with it right now. when I type "www(dot)discombobulated(dot)com" into the browser I get something similar to the following that is on the web for all to see:

"Index of /

Name Last modified Size Description

[DIR] Parent Directory 05-Nov-2007 10:02 -
[DIR] niche1/ 11-Mar-2007 23:59 -
[DIR] niche2/ 30-Dec-2006 22:12 -
[DIR] blog/ 26-Apr-2007 21:22 -
[DIR] niche3/ 28-Oct-2006 01:48 -
[DIR] cgi-bin/ 21-Oct-2006 18:23 -
[DIR] niche4> 12-Feb-2007 05:40 -
etc...
Apache/1.3.39 Server at "www(dot)discombobulated(dot)com" Port 80"

I take it that this is not a good thing, is that correct and how do I correct this problem?

Thank you
Paul

make a index.html page, You don't have to do anything fancy, But it shows the files when there is no index file there.
