As someone who's had the occasional problem with wrist pain and backache, I can assure you to take precautions with more than just the screen! It's worth taking five minutes to think about how you sit when you work, and whether it's right or not. I find straight arms (well, bent at the elbows!), a straight back, a good desk chair with lumbar support, and having everything within easy reach on my desk works pretty well.
