I spent most of Saturday cleaning up and organizing "stuff" that has accumulated, as well as "stuff" from my old job that I just never filed away. Felt great to unload so much clutter.

I also just purchased a large whiteboard for unloading thoughts and outlines...to get them out of my head :)

I'd love to see pics of your spaces if you're willing to share :)

Lisa,
Your office sounds pretty. I know that getting rid of clutter always makes me feel good. I need to fit the time into my schedule to get this office done. I will have to take before and after pictures when I'm ready to go and I might be brave enough to share them

Sounds pretty Lisa! My desk is also a creamy white (like shabby chic/country cottage). Still deciding what color to paint my walls. I need to rip out carpet and everything in here, so more than just painting needs doing.

I should definitely do some before/after pics, as well - this place is closing in on me. I think it's the worst it's gotten in a long, long time!!

Ian - you need a MUCH more comfortable chair!!! And why do you have 2 keyboards? and OH, the cleanliness!!! It's making me dizzy!!

@2 keyboards, Ian?? One for each hand? Or is one reserved for banging your head?? If so, good idea...

Looks like your desk space is a nook in your kitchen. Cool, but much too convenient fridge access for me!

But the chair, dude...it hurts just to Look at that chair!! At least grab a cushion or something.

Don't worry, Traci, a "lack of excess in the posterior region" looks good on you.

My so called office? The only remaining unfinished room in the apartment. My brother-in-law lost interest after laying ceramic tile everywhere else, it's also a storage room (can never have too much clutter, I guess!) and best of all, the pink flowery half-wall wallpaper from when it was my now 18 year old niece's room as a little girl is still here. :?

Ooops, gotta go. Time to play with My Little Pony...

LOL Dan. Thanks.

OK all - brainstorm with me for my office flooring: tile or wood/laminate? Remember, I have dogs in my office too. The carpet must go. I have a mix of wood & ceramic throughout the rest of the house.

I like wood, but that's just because I like wood. Tile is ok, but it just seems cold to me.

Thanks Stephen. Tile is cold - especially in winter - but the dogs don't mind. LOL

I would go with wood if the dogs weren't in the office a lot, laminate if its a frequent hang out for them.

Laminate is easier to clean up any messes or spills the doggies might make. Or if your doggies have sensitive tummies .... I assure you that cleaning dog (or cat) puke out from between the wood planks is not fun at all.

I love our wood floors, until there's a mess. LOL

It would be laminate, not real wood. We have laminate and ceramic. The dogs are in my office with all ALL day and their crates are in here too, so they sleep in here at nite. So this is 'their' room. Gotta be dog friendly.
