What are your hours?

Do you have set hours you work at home or just whenever you want?

No set hours, but since I still do network consulting during the day, most of the time it's between 7PM and Midnight, for internet projects.

Flexible for sure. I have no set hours as it depends on the children and what's happening that day - sport etc

While I am availalbe throughout the day for clients, I may not be working online all the time.

I am the same as KansasDragon - most of my online work is done after the children are in bed.

9am - 4pm M-F. Sometimes I'll come back and work a few hours on my business in the evenings or over the weekend but client work is during those hours for the most part.

10 am - 6 pm ... if I can keep people away and am not sent on "errands."

Plus any free time I can sneak in. I would like to work more, but I'm too old, tired and ugly to do any more.

My "set" hours are from 3:00 am until noon. I get most of my work done before 7:00 am, while it is nice and quiet.

I generally work another couple of hours in the evening.

Of course, this is subject to change. One of the things I like best about being self-employed and working at home is the freedom to change my schedule to be free to do other things.

But, most days, those are my hours.

Act on your dream!

I usually get on around 7:30 or 8:00 AM and get off around 4:00 PM. Then usually, I get back on in the evening hours. It just depends on what is going on and what I need to get done for the day. If I don't need to be on in the evening hours...I don't get back on until the next morning. However, I do check my forum before going to bed.

I try to do most of my work during the day so that my husband doesn't feel like he's been totally replaced by my computer. But as soon as he starts watching his political commentaries at night, I get back online.

I feel your pain, there!

The whole fun about IM is that you're so flexible. Right now, I'm working from 8 in the morning until 9 or 10 at night - taking breaks to cook and clean and be a wife and mom.

But from Thanksgiving until Christmas, I worked only an hour a day - giving me quality time to enjoy the holidays with my family.

And if someone in my family needs me - I'm able to be there for them.

I have set hours that I picked. I have the flexibility to change them anytime and can take the day off with little notice if the need arises. It's really nice to have the flexibility with working from home.

I have set office hours for answering the phone & returning client emails: I do not have set office hours that I actually am in the office working. ;) With my crazy busy life, I have to sometimes work at odd times to get it all done. Shhhh, just don't tell my clients. :P

With kids at home (1 and 4yo) my hours really depend on them. In the mornings when kids are playing or enjoying their somewhat limited TV time (thankyou PBS and Treehouse :)) I will often answer emails, write a blog posts, do some light project management, that kind of thing.

I also do a lot of work - and networking! - in the evenings after kidlets are in bed.

I love that I don't have to stick to a Mon-Fri 9-5 routine. It's one of the perks!
