You're right, Stefani, and everything needed is free... if you can track it all down. I just saved myself a lot of time by buying the Static Blogging package recommended by Lynn. It's great, I'm almost through converting to that system, and I'm looking forward to doing a couple more sites that way.

I think too many people rely on there blogs as a business model. Yes blogs are great for keeping your customers up to date with what is going on but as for using them to make money.
It may be cheaper to use blogs to make money as most of them are free but personally I think that all the effort needed to marketing a blog would be best used to market and promote your business via a proper website.
In order to succeed and be truly successful on the Internet you really need a website or websites.
