Need info about creating a small site

I've decided to take the plunge and put up some small (5-10 pages) sites focused around products I'm afffiliated with. I've been experimenting with Adwords having read Googlecash. I see so many advantages to having a mini site as opposed to linking to the product site directly. Traffic monitoring, email list building, pre-selling, etc.

What's always held me back is trying to find or create content. Does anybody know of a good Ebook or website that has a heavy emphasis on creating content? I know about Phil wileys book but it is ancient and his "update" seems to be vaporware at this point. Rosalind Gardner comes to mind but I would appreciate some input from current site owners. Ken Evoy's SiteSell puts out the best (bar none) affiliate marketing education available. If you'd mentioned content for your own infoproduct, I'd have recommended Make Your Knowledge Sell! which comes with another ebook (which I, personally, like better) called eBook Secrets.

But since you didn't mention creating your own product, there's a very effective (and much cheaper...as in: free) alternative for creating content for your site: sign on as a and download the affiliate training manual. As an added perk, affiliates get a free link tracking script which would work well for a mini-site.

As for content that you don't create yourself, go with what Lynn suggested... other people's articles. Somewhere at Maria Marsala's site, http://coachmaria.com , there is a pretty good-sized list of article repositories.

Good luck, George. With some planning -- and the (correct) thought of giving your site visitors valuable content -- affiliate marketing can be very profitable.
