The difference between what Lynn did and what some of the other IM marketers are doing is HUGE.
What Lynn did was build anticipation by building a relationship around the product. She told about how she was researching RSS and finding all kinds of information that she was putting to good use. She created an environment that said, "Hey, I'm doing this and you can too." Then, she went on to talk about how she couldn't wait to get the new RSS Exposed book in her hands.
Most "anticipation tactics" that I've seen, use exactly what Lynn stated in her blog. "Stay tuned!" "You'll see..." "Coming soon!" That's sales and hype.
HUGE difference in my opinion... LOL
Has anyone used the old "Don't click here," tactic? I have, and it works, but you have to be careful with it.
