I was curious how you keep track of all the affiliate programs that you have joined.

Like to get some ideas on getting more organized.

Currently I have a index card box system. They are in alpa order. On each card I put the program name on top. I then put the username, the password and the email address I signed up with. I also add any special affiliate login link, etc below.

On the back of the card I list the places the affilate program is located on my sites. I mostly do this when I join a affiliate program for a particular section of my site. So if the affiliate program goes down under, I can easily find where it is located on my site.

Care to share your tips??

I use the yellow sticky notes in microsoft outlook

I don't think I have ever used those. I use Outlook and Outlook Express but haven't seen that feature.

I dont think they are in Outlook Express, In Outlook they are just called notes - you can have them in a list format or as "stickeys" and can be different colors as well, not just yellow.

Basically you add whatever you like!

I use my text editor. In my case, .

I have a folder called Affiliate Programs.

Then I have folders within for each affiliate program

In each of those affiliate folders I have files containing all my affiliate info for those particular programs, including ...

Admin Info
Related Links
Graphics (banners, logos, etc.)
Ads
etc.

Stefani,

I started out using a spreadsheet in MS Excel. But now I've joined so many programs I kind of quit updating that sheet. There's only a handful that actually make me money, anyway. So when I have an idea for a new site, or to promote something new I just browse the affiliate networks, or flip through the mental file box. :wink:

I couldn't live without Excel. I guess I do things a bit differently. I use only a handful of merchants outside of CJ, which keeps things as organized as I need to be. About all I have on Excell is dollar amounts of how much each company makes me. I update it almost every day.

I guess I have a folder too in Outlook with all the important emails from each merchant. I rarely use them since I know all my passwords from logging in every day
