You will likely need a legal disclaimer or terms of use on your website, to alleviate yourself of responsibility. Most website have a term about links to outside sites and not having any responsibility.

I'm sure there's a good online resource for this...anyone? If that fails, consult a lawyer or notary to make sure you're fully covered.

If you are an affiliate and send someone to the comapny page and they buy the product, I don't see how you could be held responsible for anything to do with that product. You did not sell it to them, the company did.

IF you sell me a ticket to the lottery, I win ad have a heart attack, are you responsible?
I don't think so.

Now, having said all that,I just saw that in New Jersey a man is on trial for manslaughter because he let a friend drive drunk. The friend caused an accident that killed himself and his passenger.
So, a disclaimer might not be a bad idea.

Just my opinion and you know what opions are like.
