Interesting... I certainly didnt see that analogy coming. I'm a big believer in "Living in the moment". I have a piece on MySpace (myspace.com/lynnterry - and warning, there is a lot of personal writings there lol) titled Life Is A Series Of Moments.

Anyway - great food for thought. Personally, I consider myself to be productive every second of the day - even when getting much needed rest, or enjoying leisure time. Time passes entirely too quickly, regardless of how you spend it. But at the same time, its all relative.

When I was young my grandmother (who at the time was "ancient", probably in her late 60s then) would say "the time is just passing so quickly." I would wonder how she could think that when she didn't have anything to do all day. But, there comes a time when you realize how true that is. I may not get a lot accomplished every day, but I try to make it meaningful and don't dwell on what I didn't get done.

Besides I think the old saying "the hurrier I go the behinder I get" is very true.
