The war I'm talking about is the war that's going on in your head.You have one side that represents Doubt the other side which is fighting to defend itself is Faith.They both need to excercise and stay in shape for this eternal war. you can tell from the first couple min of a persons conversation if their excercising their mind with weak and negative thoughts because their mind is pumped full of regrets (" I should've, could've and maybe.). Their not the leaders but the needers because they need someone to validate them("You can do it" , "go ahead" ,"that's sounds like a good idea"). you remember those words because your always telling them or are they telling it to you? Doubt and Faith

Interesting topic...

I think that a lot of people struggle with making decisions and taking action - and much of that certainly has to do with the internal debate. There are two good books that I recommend for decision making: Blink by Malcolm Gladwell and Go With Your Gut by Mary Goulet.

The great thing about ignoring doubt and logic is that you can take fast action and just go with gut instincts. ANY action is good. Some will have better results, some will provide valuable lessons for future actions. NO action is usually based on fear or complacency...

I'd like to suggest a different thought other than thinking about warring with ourselves and doing battle.

The fear-based thoughts of doubt and uncertainty are generated by our egos/our minds. They are the stories we create - the dramas we make up and convince ourselves they are true. How creative we are!

Rather than judge those thoughts as bad or wrong, I suggest recognizing they are working for us - in other words we are getting some benefit from them. If we can appreciate what we are gaining from having them, we can then choose to keep on thinking those thoughts or reach for a better thought - one that makes us feel better which is really what we want - to feel good. This of course is a process.

When we feel good, taking action becomes easier and life becomes more fun.
