Just wanted to share this inspiring story about a blind teenager than can "see" using dolphin-like echolocation.

He rollerblades, plays video games, plays foosball and all sorts of other cool things.

Truly inspiring indeed and as the article said, quite a few lessons to be learned there.

As parents especially, it underscores the reality that when it comes to our children the confidence and support we instill can make all the difference in the world.

In earlier generations, I believe the medical community "wrote off" many more conditions than it does today and thus parents many years ago thought certain conditions were hopeless. Because more of our generation takes the attitude that "nothing is impossible" these little souls have much more of a fighting chance and we see beautiful inspirational stories like this more and more often.

Truly Amazing! Thanks so much for sharing that. Just a few days ago, I was wondering over the fact that scientists have not developed alternate ways for the blind to 'see'.
