I am not positive about this but I don't think that the page (content) exists as a web page anywhere except on the browser of the person calling the page.
The php outputs to the person's browser a combination of the html written in the php and the content it calls for.
The actual web page is not sitting there waiting for a person to call for it in their browser. All of the individual parts of it are sent to the browser to be assembled there.
If all of this is true, then the SE would never see the completed page only the php file.
I could be wrong, I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
