If you would like to rank well in Google, you should use their own keyword tool. Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type in your main targeted words. After you typed the captcha, you will be given the result list of keywords.

Pick those ones with monthly searches of 2000 and above. copy the keyword and type it in Google with quotes. e.g. "dog training".

By doing this you can see the number of sites that are optimized with the keyword. Pick those keywords with 5000 sites in the results, as it will be very easy to rank with this little optimized competitions.

This keyword will be very effective if used in your articles to be submitted to article directories.

Hope this helps.
