How is it that you get good results from images on google?

I am told that if i name the image a keyword then that will get great results.. but i am not sure.

Could someone share there views on this.

Yep, it's true. Include a keyword or two in your graphic's name. You'll also want to make sure you make use of "alt tags" for added success.

I have also heard to include keywords in your image name. I do this sometimes ,but sometimes not.

Just for fun, to see what people were doing..

I went to Google and Image Searched for magic money

Interestingly, I checked the first four images, all of them were fairly generic names, all were missing the ALT Text, but they all had a heading "Magic Money" that was near them on the page.

That leads me to this conclusion. If I really wanted to optimize an image for high rankings, I would:

#1 Put a heading/caption near by the image with my keywords.
#2 Put the ALT Text with the key words.
#3 Name my image accordingly.

And I would do them in that order.
