Is there *any* reason one would want to submit a web site to a search engine more than once?

One of my clients subscribes to a "service" from Network Solutions that claims to re-submit your web site to all the search engines. I think this is a waste of money.

I can't think of any reasons to *re*submit a web site to a search engine.

I agree with you - but you actually dont need to submit your website to search engines AT ALL anymore. The way major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN) find websites is through links from other sites they crawl. Get your new link out there... and thats all it takes to get indexed.

Submitting sites manually is a waste of time. Paying for submissions is a waste of money.
