www.mortgagebusinessopportunity.com this domain name when the search engines are using their own ranking system and also look at the domain name will they be able to read it as mortgage business opportunity since it all close together with no spaces between the words

Actually I suspect that they are starting to do that.
At least with Google you can often see the key phrase bolded in the search results. Not always though.

Some marketers believe the hyphens help the search engines recognize your keywords but I don't think it has too much weight. If you're not trying to build a brand where people can remember your site and go back to it and so on then you can probably go with the hyphens, but overall you may want a domain name which is memorable and easy for people to find... hyphens aren't great for that.

Bolding the keywords not alone does the trick for you. The content should be rich in the domain... And there are so many strategies to promote your site...

I think you mis-understood.

In Google search listings in the above link, you can plainly see that Google understands the seperate words in the domain, because Google "Bolds" any keywords it finds in the search listings.

I wasn't talking about "Bolding" your own content, which is good, but another subject.

Yes, and they do that whether its with underscores OR hyphens, and whether its a domain name or a file name (page). I noticed that as well.
