Hi, all, catching up a bit here and checking into this thread especially, since Twitter is here to stay and consistency with all the aspects of marketing is on my short list of priorities.
I can't put my finger on it, but the 140 characters work in putting emotion, marketing, personality, connection, conversation and wisdom into one place. I haven't updated much in the last few weeks and am revisiting the reasons I twitter.
My main focus for months has been putting our offline business (Gallagher's Chimney Service) online. With a twitter account, revised website and blog, it's been fun, interesting and hopefully, with time and consistent nurturing, profitable. So far, so good. You can follow my "Chimney Guy" on Twitter at .
My main account at Twitter is . I think the biggest reason I follow those I do is because I don't want to miss anything! But that gets a bit overwhelming, so now I am following Lynn's advice to pinpoint how I want to be known online or what I want to be known for, who I want to make connections with and what I want to contribute to those who follow me.
So, to answer my own question, how do I want to be known online, or what do I want to be known for, I think the best answer is that I want to be an "asker of questions", curious about how everything works, whether it's in Internet Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Tech Stuff, Writing memorable content, or Inspiring Action.
Even if I'm slow in getting stuff done, I want to keep at it until I get it! So, with that in mind, follow me on Twitter to see how it all unfolds. I'm curious myself...
Best for now,
Mary
